Glimpses into the Past: Inscriptions of the Two Ancient Cemeteries in Palmer, MA
Here is a chance to find your lost ancestors who might have lived in Hampden Co MA back in the early days. Palmer was established in 1752 and originally called "The Elbows" Plantation. As early as 1895, the cemetery stones were beginning to desintegrate and this cemetery board of commissioners set about to make a listing of the 2 Palmer cemeteries. In 1901, a copy of this recording was made and the record was given in alphabetical order along with other material which was on th stone. Each cemetery has a history of its formation and a list of patriots from Palmer are given for both colonial wars and the Revolutionary War. Soft cover, indexed, 76 pages.#9921 $20.00
